Practical Radiant Design - Simplified
and explained with plenty of project examples

"Look over my shoulder as I explain and show you how I approach tubing layouts for slab/gypcrete projects and radiant heating system installations."

Hi, RadiantSteve here,

I help people everyday - and I really do enjoy being able to use the knowledge and experience I've acquired over the years to help people enjoy the comfort of radiant heat.  But there's a problem.  It can be a big problem, and sometimes - there's nothing I can do to fix it.

In most cases, people come to me for a complete radiant heating system.  I provide the design, the instructions and the necessary components.  But there's a lot of companies online now that will happily sell you a box of parts and peices, with little or no regard to the customer or the successful implementation of their project.

Now, I guess that's okay if you're an experienced radiant installer, or if you've got the knowledge and experience necessary to insure an effective radiant system design.  But what if you don't?  A lot of people get online looking for ways to stretch their construction dollar by doing things themselves.  DIY is a strong and growing market these days - and I applaud people with the gumption to "get 'er done."

Sometimes there's a knowledge gap - what I mean by that is, people are willing and able to do the work necessary - they just don't know enough about design to do it right.  And there are many internet based companies who are all to happy to sell you the parts and peices you'll need without finding out what kind of support you may need.

They may say, they "won't be undersold," give you the "lowest-price guarantee," or insert some other clever marketing phrase - but a percentage of their customers in need of design assistance end up unsatisfied by their experience and in need of some design help.  Sometimes they get it - sometimes they don't.  If they don't get any help, odds are they poke around online and find some free generic help that may or may not apply to their specific project - but they use it as a rough guide to help them get their tubing installed.

Just yesterday, I got a call from a potential customer who wanted to know the price for a manifold.  Well, starting off a call that way is tough.  Really, it is.  I didn't know what size pipe he'd used, how many loops he needed, the size of the project, the heat load - asking about the price up front.... it really is putting the cart before the horse.

So, I started asking him the necessary questions -  it turns out he'd found a really good deal on 1/2" PEX in 1000' rolls from some PEX supplier - so he bought it.  Nobody ever thought to mention design constraints or give him any pointers.  He installed one loop per desired zone - one problem.  His shortest loop was still over 650 feet long.  I could give you the long version of the rest of that conversation, but the short version is simple - 650 foot long loops won't work.  500 foot loops would be pushing the envelope.

Even with a mega-pump, the back-end of the loop won't have any heat left.  Short of digging it up, and splicing into the loops to divide them into shorter loops - he's stuck with a dud.  All because the "low-price" vendor didn't care enough to make sure the guy knew what he was doing.

Here's the clincher -  if you put your tubing down and pour your slab, there's no easy fix if you did it wrong - and there are only two ways to find out:

One - Fire it up and see what happens on the next coldest day of the year.  Radiant can be somewhat forgiving and you could get lucky.

Two - Have a professional radiant designer look over your project information and make recommendations specific to your project requirements - BEFORE - you "paint yourself into a corner."

That's where I'd like to offer you the benefit of my years of experience.  I've been a part of over a thousand successful radiant system designs.  Last year alone, I designed and sold over 150 complete radiant systems.  I've spoken about radiant heating at several home shows over the years and am a certified radiant designer with the Radiant Panel Association.

That level of knowledge and experience can benefit you by way of this book.  In this book, I take you by the hand and show you the basic principles and guidelines that I use for all my radiant designs and then, I show you design examples from over 30 recent projects.  You get access to top level rules of radiant design and practical examples of how they are applied in real world situations.

These designs will unlock the subject of radiant design for you.  It's a subject that can seem mysterious and daunting to a novice installer.  But once you've had a look at this eBook, I'm sure you'll agree that it takes you from basic and theoretical knowledge to practical, experiential knowledge that you can apply directly to your project right away.

It's easy for me to say nice things about my book and the things I know, but I think the "proof is in the puddin'."  Here's some unsolicited feedback from some of my customers:

"Bottom line is, the system gave us comfortable and very efficient heat.  The domestic loop feeds into the water heater, and gives us endless hot water.  My plumber assured me that the system would never work, pump was too small, loops were too long, Internet stuff was crap, etc., etc.  He told me it would fail at 5:00 on a Sunday morning in January.  Several months after we moved in, he asked another customer of his if we were “freezing our a$$es off.”  I think it killed him to learn how well it has worked.

This is a full-on custom house with pretty high end finishes.  I will admit to being a bit nervous about installing this system.  I have no regrets now.  And I appreciated the tech support from RadiantSteve when I needed it.  I would recommend this package to anyone."

"Just wanted to pass along a quick note - The radiant heat has been up and running since November - it is wonderful.  Thanks for all of your prompt help as we were working out how to install it. "

Right about now, you're probably asking yourself - "How much?" and I hope to pleasantly surprise you.  But first, let me explain a little bit about what goes into a radiant design - a lot of time and experience.  The designs in this book represent hundreds of hours of education and design time.

Any one of the designs in this book may have cost the customer $250 to $600 or more.  There are over 30 designs detailed in this book - even at the low end of the scale, this book represents over $6,000 in design work, plus you will gain valuable insight into the basic principles behind the designs.  The thing I've done for you here, is to condense that education and time into bite-sized, understandable, practical chunks and turned it into a simple eBook.

With that in mind, coupled with my desire to spread the word about radiant heating and make it simple, practical and affordable....

I offer it to you now for $19.95 - and I guarantee your satisfaction, 100%.

If you buy this e-Book and feel in anyway that I haven't delivered the guidelines and designs as promised - I'll refund the entire cost to you.  That's my 100%, No Questions Asked, Take-It-To-The-Bank Guarantee.

I do have to warn you - $19.95 is an introductory price and is available for a limited time.   I reserve the right to raise the price at anytime, so if you're ready to give us a try - now is the time to place your order.

You can place your order and download your e-book as soon as your order has been confirmed - anytime, day or night.

You've gotten this far for a reason, maybe you're ready - maybe you need to think about it for awhile.   That's okay, sometimes the timing isn't quite right - but I do urge you to seek radiant design help from a professional - if there's any chance you may need it.

Feel free to return to this page - bookmark it if you need to.  Whether you purchase this book or not, I would be happy to work up a custom radiant system quote for your project - just contact me at: info@radiantsteve.com

Thank you for your time - I appreciate the opportunity to do business with you now and in the future.
